A homeowner in Streetsboro, OH noticed that his AC unit was struggling to cool the house. This was causing discomfort and high utility bills for this customer and he knew that this issue needed addressed right away. He called into Primary Home Improvements and was quickly set up with a free estimate.
The energy consultant, Kevin, arrived to the estimate and began assessing the attic space. He climbed in and immediately noticed rolled fiberglass that was strewn around the attic. Parts of this old insulation was even laying on top of the flexible HVAC duct. The quality of the insulation and the way it was installed was not conducive to a functional attic. On the day of the project, the installers arrived to the home and began working. They started by taking out the rolled fiberglass and debris that lay on the floor. Cleaning out an attic before install is important to assuring that the new insulation can work it's magic and not be disturbed by old pieces of trash and insulation. Once cleaned, the attic crew used a specialized blower machine to insulate the entire attic with densely packed fiberglass. Our fiberglass product is high in R-Value and will not settle over time. The customer went from having very little R-Value to R49, all in one easy day! The homeowner was so happy with the results.
